Who here would like a massive killer panther for a Who here would like a massive killer panther for a friend? Raise your hand πŸ˜† This painting 'The Hunters' has a special place in my heart, probably because it took -ages- to complete, over a number of years. I kept pushing it to the side for months, but finally finished her in 2017. I really like the green and pink contrast here, plus it was my first time painting a decent-looking panther 😬

Okay, so here you can see what kind of things I li Okay, so here you can see what kind of things I liked to paint in 2012 🀣 Victorian outfits - check. Elf ears - check. Cute things - check. Cute Victorian elves, the perfect combination of everything! I miss painting scenes like this, even if the background is a little scruffy in places and there's a blatant copy/paste fabric texture on the table πŸ˜†

Here's where my life as an artist began - my very Here's where my life as an artist began - my very first digital painting, 'White Witch', in 2010. ❀️ Not only was it my first painting, it was one of the first images I ever sold at a convention - and one of the reasons I kept returning year after year (despite the stress of con prep!). I don't have the exact numbers but in the last 10 years I've sold hundreds of copies of this image. A lot of people seem to resonate with her eyes, her calm expression, and the unusual green butterfly! Truth be told, this painting has no meaning, it's another 'pretty girl headshot' that I kinda cooked up quickly one day, but meaning has been added over the years by customers and friends. What is she thinking? Is she sad, or happy? Let me know what you think πŸ˜‰β

This is a character of mine that I paint a -lot-, something about her aesthetic is just endlessly appealing πŸ₯° Plus, more people should have ribcage boob-covers instead of bras, I bet they're comfy!

A blue-haired beauty for this week's Throwback Thu A blue-haired beauty for this week's Throwback Thursday 😘 'Bird of Paradise' was painted for our very first collaborative art book, 'Threads', back in 2015. A fun fact about this book project - only 1000 were printed, and I -still- get emails from collectors about wanting a copy, over 5 years later! They've even started appearing on the second hand book market for a higher price than our original listing 🀣 I wonder if I can sell my copy for a small fortune in 10 years' time?

Today's #throwbackthursday is my painting 'Golden Today's #throwbackthursday is my painting 'Golden Fae', she was my 'poster girl' at events for many years 😁 I still have a ton of banner and big display items with her on! I think this image was my very first 'high fantasy' painting... I'd painted elves and fairies etc before but they were more manga-style than semi-realistic. I do think the success of this image (she sold very well at events!) made me slip into a 'headshot on a simple background = fine and easy' habit which I'm still trying to get out of. Need to paint trees and foliage again!
