I've been having a tidy-up of all my art files and I've been having a tidy-up of all my art files and came across this painting... 😬 It's from 2016, and I don't think I've ever uploaded it anywhere? It's based on an old ballad about a promiscuous woman, lots of metaphors about wells and lillies and things like that! I kinda like the colour scheme though, maybe I should revisit this idea at some point?

Can I share a secret with you guys? 😬 This is a Can I share a secret with you guys? 😬 This is actually one of my favourite paintings, for a couple of reasons: It was very, very fun to paint, it was a composition I'd never tried before, and I had a blast with the cape! This pic is called 'Wolf Song', and is based on the tale of Red Riding Hood, though my version of Red has a scarlet halo instead of a hood (I was maybe being too artsy fartsy at the time). This is another old image that I'd like to make a new version of someday... but maybe I just want an excuse to paint more ladies with wolves 🤔

Wow, does anyone remember this painting from... *c Wow, does anyone remember this painting from... *checks date*... 2012!? It's one of my very first digital paintings called 'Blueberry Mouth'. Fun fact: I've painted new versions of this image many, many times over the years but never managed to finish any of them. I'm just waiting for my skills to level up I think! Having said that, I still like this painting - the girl's outfit, her frazzly hair, and I remember being very proud of those hands 🤣 Hands are a paaain...

Time for another #throwbackthursday! This is from Time for another #throwbackthursday! This is from waaaay back in 2012, a painting called 'The Escape'. I went through a big phase of just wanting to paint ladies and trees during those years 🤣 Actually, I kinda still love painting ladies and trees...they're just usually elven ladies now!
One thing I do miss though, is painting backgrounds (which sounds crazy!). Whilst I love painting fashion-esque portraits part of me really wants to start telling stories again. Let's hope 2021 is the year of inspiration!

A happy little fairy, but painted under slightly s A happy little fairy, but painted under slightly sad circumstances! This was my entry into the 2019 #Polymanga Mabulle contest, with the theme 'popcorn'. Polymanga, if you didn't know, is an amazing manga convention in Montreux, Switzerland, and one I try to attend every year. Due to the dreaded Covid plague the event was cancelled, so I missed the beautiful Swiss mountains 😔 Hopefully I can go this year, fingers crossed!

They sit together so nicely 😍 Everyone who knows me well knows I love foxes, so it was only a matter of time before I painted a giant fox and fox girl, right? This is an oldie though, and I hadn't painted many animals back then, so the fox's face could use improvement 😅 Still, I was happy with it back in 2014! I remember being especially proud of the girl's shiny hair ❤️
